INTRODUCTION

Together Films is an innovative marketing and sales company based in London and NYC serving the international film community. We connect filmmakers, brands and film festivals with audiences so their stories can be heard far and wide.

As leaders in the social impact entertainment space, we believe films can change lives and broaden perspectives. We amplify documentary and narrative films by finding the best audiences to spark conversation and inspire action.

A film does not exist until an audience sees it. We make that happen.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • We are obsessed with stories that can make a difference in the world and raise awareness of the critical issues of our time.
  • Our slate is highly curated and we are focused on releasing 8 – 12 premium titles per year, across documentaries and dramas, that are both commercial and impactful.
  • We are committed to transformative, thoughtful, and globally relevant character-driven stories from the world’s best visionary filmmakers. We look for films that are an exceptional cinematic and powerful collective experience, and evergreen titles that are relevant today and continue to inspire for decades to come.
  • We are utterly focused on balancing the requirements of a commercial release, with impactful intent. We want our slate to be sold to as many partners as possible (both traditional and non-traditional) to achieve success for film financiers, whilst also activating vital conversations on key topics.
  • We are seeking projects that have not yet premiered (at either film festivals or any other platforms), so we can support your debut into the market. 
  • We are always happy to hear about new projects in their early development stages and track them as they progress if they seem like a good fit for our slate. Typically, we sign documentaries upon reviewing the rough cut, and scripted projects at the script stage, with the principal cast in place and over 50% of the financing confirmed.
  • We explore a triple bottom line; Reach, Revenue & Reaction. We find partners who are embedded in the issues and can help activate an event and engage audiences to fill a room (or a virtual cinema!).

WHAT WE'RE NOT LOOKING FOR

  • We are not looking for titles that do not have a social message or theatrical sensibilities. We prefer character driven titles, and therefore we’re not looking for films that are talking head heavy.
  • We are not looking for niche titles, titles that are too local, or TV only programming.
  • We do not release short form titles.

SUBMISSIONS PROCESS

We are proactively reaching out to a variety of Producers, Financiers, and Directors within our network to source the best projects for our slate. However, we understand that there may be hidden gems being created outside of our own circle and want to be open to learning about those too. Therefore, at present, we are welcoming submissions via the form below.

  • Once the form is completed you will receive an email to confirm we have received your materials.
  • Your project will be added to our weekly acquisitions meeting to review your key details. Depending on volume that might be the following week or month.
  • We will let you know if you have been progressed to a more detailed review by our team, at which point we may request additional information about your project.
  • If the project isn’t suitable for us, we will email you to confirm it is no longer under consideration with us.
  • If the project is suitable for us, we will request a meeting with your team to further discuss your commercial and impact objectives to see if we are aligned.

We hope this simple, but clear process, ensures transparent communication between parties. This policy is subject to change in the future.
