At Together Films we believe in amplifying female voices that enrich the cinematic experience and drive social change. For us this means both in front of, and behind the camera to ensure that female-led stories in film improve multiple forms of representation, challenge stereotypes, and empower audiences to take action. Historically, women have been underrepresented in our industry, (even though films like Barbie become global box office hits…..!) leading to a lack of diverse perspectives in storytelling.
The female-led narratives and festivals we celebrate in this blog for International Women’s Day offer audiences a chance to see themselves reflected on screen, whilst breaking the rules of socially constructed barriers.
As a female founded firm, we pride ourselves on being an empathetic partner for each campaign that we work on. Our work champions diversity in all its forms, and we are proud to showcase our new selection of projects celebrating International Women’s Day.”
an army of women
AN ARMY OF WOMEN is a feature documentary about a group of women in Austin, Texas who join forces and help build a movement of plaintiffs legally challenging the system that allowed their rapists to walk free. It’s a landmark story of women fighting to hold law enforcement accountable, with resounding relevance worldwide.

Told by the pioneering women who participated in it and built from an archive unseen for fifty years, COPA 71 is the extraordinary story of the 1971 Women’s Soccer World Cup, a tournament witnessed by record crowds that has been written out of sporting history — until now. Executive produced by Serena Williams and Venus Williams, this is a documentary that uncovers the battles these women endured on and off the playing field. Co-Directed by Rachel Ramsay and James Erskine, the highly anticipated documentary has received a number of glowing reviews in the run-up to its theatrical release.
COPA 71 is available to watch in select UK cinemas from March 8th. Find out more information here.
