FASHION REIMAGINED follows Mother of Pearl’s Creative Director Amy Powney fresh off a win of the prestigious Vogue Designer Fashion Fund prize. Raised off-grid in rural England by anti-fracking activist parents, and increasingly troubled by fashion’s environmental impact, Amy decides to use the Vogue prize money to create a sustainable collection from field to finished garment and transform her business – or leave fashion for good. Over the following three years, her own personal revolution becomes a precursor to a much bigger societal change.
This year, Together Films built on our strategy and fundraising work to activate the campaign, bringing the film to cinemas in a theatrical launch, as well as communities, students, professionals, festival-goers, and policymakers across the globe.
Screenings with Chloé, Burberry, PDS, National Museum of Scotland’s Little Black Dress Exhibition, Lost Village, Green Man, the London College of Fashion, and educated audiences on sustainable and circular fashion. Many screenings included activities like clothes swaps and mending workshops, encouraging audiences to make sustainable fashion choices.
Policy-focused screening events in the UK and EU formed part of a larger group of activities that helped push through the EU strategy for sustainable and circular textiles.
