Black history month – february (USA)
As we approach Black History Month in the U.S. in February, WHITE NANNY BLACK CHILD serves as a personal and moving meditation on identity and the essence of family, contributing meaningfully to the broader dialogue surrounding the complexities of the Black experience.
In its reflection on belonging, the film offers a unique perspective, inviting audiences to engage with narratives that resonate within the rich tapestry of Black history.
Directed by Andy Mundy-Castle and produced by Natasha Dack Ojumu, WHITE NANNY BLACK CHILD explores the story of a group of adults who find solace in sharing their experiences of growing up as children of Black Nigerian immigrants fostered by white British families between 1955 and 1995, a practice known as ‘farming’.
We are excited to have WHITE NANNY BLACK CHILD on our slate for international sales.
