300 people attended a recent screening at Microsoft corporate HQ in Redmond, Washington, with director Jeanie Finlay hosting a virtual Q&A. Microsoft’s Disability ERG sponsored the event for all employees to spark conversation about Fat Activism.
There was an overwhelming positive response from the Microsoft team. Many praised the film for its relatable and heartfelt portrayal of body image struggles, with viewers sharing that they felt seen and validated through the documentary’s honest exploration of fatness and its impact on family and self-perception:
