Film can be an effective tool to create meaningful social impact. It’s a persuasive artform that can entertain, educate and inspire people to take action. They can help shape public opinion, foster a sense of responsibility towards urgent issues, and can ultimately, change policy and laws.
Over the years, we’ve been witness to positive social impact as a direct result of campaigns we’ve had the pleasure to work on.
BEYOND THE BRIDGE
Since May, BEYOND THE BRIDGE has been travelling across cities in the United States, sparking conversations on how we can comprehensively address homelessness. We’ve welcomed thousands of community members, elected officials, and professionals to engage in discussions and inspire action. Since the film’s first screening, elected officials have pledged to unveil plans for a remodelled homelessness response system inspired by the model presented in the film.

FASHION REIMAGINED
We supported a screening of FASHION REIMAGINED in Brussels for an audience of EU MPs and fashion stakeholders ahead of the crucial vote on the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles. The event aimed to bring the film’s themes of fashion sustainability and environmental impact to the forefront. Following the event, European Parliament voted to adopt the strategy which calls for textile products sold in the EU to be more durable; and easier to reuse, repair, and recycle.

WE THE POWER
In April 2021, Patagonia launched the WE THE POWER campaign. The documentary, released on YouTube, is about the citizen-led community-energy movement in Europe and the visionaries lighting the way.
Over the course of six months, we reached out to thousands of organisations across our key territories, facilitating screenings and discussions.. The initiative successfully engaged over 14,000 people to learn how they can strengthen community energy where they live.
