We’re thrilled to be working with NEON on the upcoming, must-see documentary SEEKING MAVIS BEACON. Team Together will be supporting our friends at NEON by identifying key local partners for their Q&A events.

SEEKING MAVIS BEACON tells the story of how the most recognizable woman in technology lives in our collective imagination. Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing taught millions globally, but the software’s Haitian-born cover model vanished decades ago. Two DIY detectives search for the model while posing questions about identity and artificial intelligence.

Through outreach and community building, we’re supporting their Q&A events with Director Jazmin Jones and co-collaborator Olivia McKayla Ross taking place in Baltimore, New York and San Francisco in August.
