WHITE NANNY, BLACK CHILD has won a BAFTA Television award in the Specialist Factual category.
Directed by Andy Mundy-Castle, and produced by Doc Hearts and Tigerlily Productions, WHITE NANNY, BLACK CHILD is the moving story that follows a group of adults who find solace in sharing their experiences of growing up as children of Black Nigerian immigrants who were fostered by white British families. Funded by the BFI Doc Society Fund, the documentary was first commissioned by Channel 5 and has gone on to screen at a number of respected film festivals, picking up awards along the way such as the Audience Award at Folkestone Documentary Festival in 2023.
The BAFTA follows an incredible win at the Royal Television Society Awards in the History category earlier this year.
