Together Films appoints Picturehouse’s John-Paul Pierrot as new Head of Digital Marketing & Partnerships, Alex Cook (ex Head of Film at BAFTA) joins Executive Team as Director of Operations

The new hires were exclusively announced on Screen Daily earlier today

LONDON – September 14th, 2022. Together Films has announced John-Paul Pierrot as the new Head of Digital Marketing & Partnerships. Starting mid-October, John-Paul will lead the marketing team on key social impact entertainment campaigns and brand launches for leading Film Festivals, Industry, and Foundation partners. Reporting into Sarah Mosses, Founder and CEO of Together Films, the role will feed into the development of Together Films journey to become the leading social impact entertainment agency in the UK and US.

John-Paul said: “Sarah and the team at Together Films have proven that their social impact strategy can connect with audiences in a meaningful way. There’s an obvious culture of innovation within the agency and I am delighted to join at a point of accelerated growth with a rebrand and exciting festival projects to look forward to.”

Previously the Digital Marketing Manager at Picturehouse Cinemas, John-Paul has 9 years of experience, curating award-winning marketing campaigns, overseeing the online communities of 26 cinema venues, and managing the Picturehouse digital brand. During his time there, he helped develop the innovative Enchanted Screen campaign, which was the winner of the best Marketing Campaign at the Screen Awards in 2018. He recently wrapped on the marketing for the Sundance London Film Festival.

During a year of significant growth for the company Together Films also appointed Alex Cook as Director of Operations. Alex previously held a senior management position at BAFTA and has 13 years experience delivering international projects in the film, TV and games industry. She will play a crucial role in Together Films’ expansion into new markets.

Sarah Mosses, CEO and Founder of Together Films said: “We’re absolutely delighted to welcome JP to the team. His background with a leading network of cinemas, and the relaunch of the Picturehouse brand and website, brings a wealth of experience to Together Films. We are looking forward to presenting a fresh look for Together in the new year, and announcing some innovative new campaigns.

Alex joined our team late last year with a remit to direct business strategy, policy and operations. Our marketing client-base has since grown significantly, attracting key film festivals such as Athena Film Festival (NYC, NY) and SeriesFest (Denver, CO), as well as a number of key strategy campaigns for social impact features that are future awards-contenders. As we look to the future, we hope to further this growth and build our innovative strategies and tech into the film festivals, funds, and documentary features that we represent, and are so proud to work on.”

Both John-Paul and Alex join Together Films at a pivotal time. 2020 was a transformational year; the global pandemic accelerated their move into digital and technological innovation and the company grew exponentially as a result. The launch of their Digital Perspectives webinar series, which included six months of free-to-view interviews with market-leading experts, supported 3500+ industry professionals to pivot to digital events and screenings during lockdown. The Together Films network grew dramatically as a result; their team expanded from 5 to 14, including staff in NYC. Earlier this year, Founder and CEO Sarah Mosses was selected for the Inside Pictures mentoring scheme. Run by the UK National Film and Television School, the highly competitive training and leadership initiative provides a year of support to up and coming industry leaders.

This release also signifies a call for applications for a new Head of Acquisitions, Sales and Distribution to grow the companies distribution and sales output focussed on social impact entertainment. Applications close 13th October.
