In 2024, the Together Films team worked on 17 campaigns, 67 films, and 335 screenings across 31 countries, engaging thousands of audience members on critical issues such as climate action, gender justice, reproductive rights, sexual violence, the criminal legal system, censorship, freedom of expression, education, homelessness, and more.
We are grateful to the filmmakers and partners we’ve worked with, allowing us to help amplify vital stories.
Our first full year as a sales agency has been an incredible journey. We’ve proudly placed films with partners like Netflix, Paramount+, Sky, SBS, NonStop, and Madman, and added five remarkable titles to our sales slate: ZURAWSKI V TEXAS, GAY GAMES, MEDIHA, THE WALK, and AN ARMY OF WOMEN. We are honored to work with talented film teams including HiddenLight and Grain Media. Notably, WHITE NANNY BLACK CHILD was recognized at this year’s BAFTA Television Awards for Best Specialist Factual Programme, and MEDIHA received nominations for both the PGA and IDA Awards.
We brought the acclaimed documentary MEDIHA to US and UK theatres, with sold-out opening weekend premiere events at Film Forum in New York; and a day of screenings at select Picturehouse Cinemas in the UK which featured a recorded Q&A with Executive Producer, Emma Thompson.
We launched Climate Action Together, a new Impact Distribution Campaign Fund & Accelerator designed to amplify powerful films addressing the climate crisis. The two projects, UNEARTH and POWER STATION, will receive a $25,000 cash grant alongside 4 months of strategy, and monthly mentorship support.
We offered marketing support to 4 film festivals this year; We worked closely with the Human Rights Watch Film Festival team on what was sadly their final festival; with the New York International Children’s Film Festival to inspire and excite budding film fans, and with Double Exposure Film Festival in D.C. for the first time; diving into the world of investigative journalism. We also continued our longstanding work with Athena Film Festival, the New York fest that celebrates women’s leadership.
Looking ahead to 2025, we remain focused on collaborating with filmmakers, organizations, and audiences to bring important stories to the forefront.
