We all know December is a time of giving, and as we hurtle into this year’s festive season – here at Together Films we’re highlighting some amazing gifts from some of our friends and partners, all of which have a social impact. Make someone happy this Christmas and help bring about positive change too!
If you’re stuck for gift ideas over the next few weeks, take a look at some of the TF team’s ideas for some inspiration.
We first worked with Choose Love on our impact campaign Action For Sama. We’re in awe of the work they do to support refugees, the Choose Love shop is the world’s first to sell real products for refugees and displaced communities. From as little as £5 you can buy everything from emergency supplies, hot meals to tents and warm clothing. If you’re buying for someone who has everything, why not consider making a huge difference to displaced people instead?
The WaterBear Network
Together Films friend Jack Harries has been working closely with the incredible The WaterBear Network and we are so excited about it! It’s the first interactive streaming platform dedicated to the future of our planet, WaterBear provides access to award-winning and inspirational content that empowers members to dive deeper, learn more and take action. Check out the streaming platform’s range of documentaries all accessible for free. A great option for any climate conscious relatives.
Watch this space for exciting things coming from Together Films and Patagonia in the new year! And in the meantime if you’re looking for ethically made winter warmers look no further. In addition to toasty threads, you can use the Patagonia website to find local grassroots organisations where you can make a donation in someone’s name for Christmas.
Athena Film Festival
Before you know it, it’ll be time for the incredible Athena Film Festival, our annual opportunity to celebrate female led cinema. It’s the perfect gift idea for your US based film loving friends and family. The 2022 Athena Film Festival will bring a return to in person events as well as a full program of virtual screenings across the US from March 11-20. You can still grab Early Bird priced tickets with a Festival Pass.
‘Tis the season for curling up on the sofa with a page turner, and we LOVE Bookshop.org for finding books from independent bookshops across the country. Avoid lining the pockets of billionaires by ordering your gifts from them!
