Letitia Wright’s Directorial Debut HIGHWAY TO THE MOON Joins the BFI London Film Festival 2025 Lineup
We’re excited to share that Letitia Wright’s directorial debut HIGHWAY TO THE MOON has been officially selected for the BFI London Film Festival 2025. Following its premiere at the South London Film Festival, the film will screen as part of the Shorts Programme on October 13 & 16.
Written, directed, and produced by Wright, HIGHWAY TO THE MOON follows the experiences of young Black men whose lives have been tragically cut short. Set in a fantasy world between Heaven and Earth, the film is a moving coming-of-age drama exploring themes of brotherhood, unity, forgiveness, and hope.
Wright created the film in response to London’s escalating knife crime epidemic, aiming to provoke urgent dialogue around its roots. She describes HIGHWAY TO THE MOON as a “love letter to young Black men all over the world.”
