The Great Green Wall To Premiere At Giornate degli Autori - Venice Film Festival And To Screen At UN Climate Week

Together Films has recently started work on a truly inspiring project; THE GREAT GREEN WALL. The Great Green Wall is a project conceived of by the African Union to build a wall of trees across Northern Africa from Senegal to Djibouti. The documentary, made by the London-based Make Waves in conjunction with the UN, follows Malian artist Inna Modja as she journeys The Great Green Wall from west to east Africa. This musical expedition highlights not only the environmental and humanitarian issues The Great Green Wall combats, but the vibrant culture of northern Africa. The film had an exclusive screening in New York earlier this month and received some amazing feedback.

We’re fantastically excited to drive this project forward towards its World Premiere at Giornate degli Autori - Venice Film Festivalon the 31st of August. We will also be screening the film with leading stakeholders as part of the UN Climate Summit in NYC in September.

If you have access to partners who can help facilitate a screening tour across northern Africa we would like to hear from you. We are planning for a detailed engagement campaign commencing in the spring and wish to collaborate with funders, NGOs, charities and brands with presence in the region. Please email GreatGreenWall@TogetherFilms.org for more information.
